Charging your sensor

  • Plug in your sensor – make sure the USB icon is facing upwards
  • Fully charge your sensor before taking your first measurement
  • Your sensor is fully charged when the red light goes out

Connecting your sensor via Bluetooth

  1.  With the belt and sensor in place, there will be a flashing blue light on the sensor – your sensor is ready to pair
  2.  Turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Note: only pair the sensor in the OTO app.
  3.  In the OTO app, go to the Settings icon (top right-hand corner) > Hardware > click “Not Paired” > locate your sensor and select it
  4.  Once selected, you’ll see a confirmation checkmark  and that the sensor is paired under ‘Hardware’
  5.  You’re ready for your first assessment. Return to the Home Screen.

Performing your first assessment

  • Do the assessment in a quiet environment, with no distractions. This is completed in 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Listen for the audio indicators that the assessment has begun and when it is complete.
  • Click the Assess Now button (on the Home Screen). Once all of the indicators are ready, you’ll be able to click “Begin”
  • Lie flat, relax and breathe normally

Daily use of App and Sensor

Repeat for every session.

Assessment

  1.  Before your exercise session, perform an assessment just like you did for your first assessment.
  2.  Once your assessment is complete, answer the questionnaire in the app that will display. Click Save.
  3.  Your assessment and answers will be analyzed and will adapt your training
  4.  Return to the Main Screen, you’ll see a message that your training for today has been adapted
  5.  Remove the DC cable and dispose of the used electrodes from your hand and head

Time to exercise

1. You are now ready to start your activity. Continue to wear your belt and sensor to track your heart rate.

Did you do your self-assessment?

Ensure you have already completed your self-assessment for your level of exercises before starting your training.

  1. On the Home Screen, click Begin to start your training.
  2. Follow the instructions as best you can, including adjusting your level of effort to keep your heart rate in zones where indicated.
  3. Once your training is over, save your session and exit.
  4. Click the Sync icon on the top left hand corner. Well done!

Log & Plan

  • Visit the Log screen to see all of the assessments and completed training sessions (access at the top menu)
  • Under Plan, you’ll be able to begin, restart, and/or view your activity plan.
  • Viewing your activity plan will help you schedule your activities as you’ll be able to see the full training plan, the training day and the exercise session duration.
